Brett and Kim Marcos

Brett and Kim both graduated from Texas Tech University, where they met, fell in love, and saw their own lives change – all through the Cru ministry there! After interning with Cru at Texas Tech, they joined staff full-time in Summer 2011. Brett is a sports fanatic – with football and basketball taking high priority. He is passionate about building people up in their walk with God so that they can become leaders and do the same. Kim likes to read and hang out with friends. She truly enjoys seeing people grow in their walk with God and take steps of faith.  Together they enjoy playing card games, Scrabble, baking, and hanging out at Barnes and Noble. They are excited about sharing the good news of Christ with college students at LSU!

Ali Enos

Ali is a graduate of LSU and has been on staff with Cru for 19 years. She loves people and hearing their stories and seeing God weave a far greater story. She enjoys LSU sports, seeing women take their next step in their faith journey, gardening, and working out. She has a passion and has had much experience in the Greek system. Ali is known to make a mean gumbo and enjoys teaching others how to cook a good gumbo. Every Saturday in the fall she can be found watching college football. She is a southern girl through and through and an SEC girl all the way!


Kristie Smith

Kristie has been a Baton Rouge resident for over 10 years and is a proud graduate of LSU, with a Bachelors degree in Music Education and a Masters in Music. After teaching band to middle and high school students for 15 years, she decided to leave her teaching career and pursue God’s call on her life to reach students for Christ on the campus at LSU. Kristie is passionate about helping others see their identity in Christ so they can embrace all that God has for them and share HIs love with others. She also enjoys working out, reading, and being outdoors biking, hiking and kayaking. Kristie’s “claim to fame” came in the fall of 1999, during her senior year at LSU, when she served the university as the first female Drum Major for the Golden Band from Tigerland. She’s honored for the opportunity to be back on campus serving the students for Christ.


Tim Slater

Tim is an LSU graduate with a degree in History. He was involved with Cru throughout college and gained a passion for discipleship. He enjoys using his background in history in evangelism on campus. He has a heart for local and international missions. He loves George Strait, peanut butter, and coffee.


 Brianne “Bri” Gilbert

Brianne Gilbert is a recent graduate of LSU and this is her first year as an intern with Cru. She has been involved with Cru throughout college and it was through Cru that she grew in her faith and confidence in the Lord. Brianne’s life was changed by CRU staff showing her how to live for God daily, so she has the passion to do the same. She has served in leadership with both Cru and Impact. She thoroughly enjoys witnessing the growth of college students’ faith in God. She is passionate about being vulnerable and transparent about how she walks with God daily to help others see that pursuing God daily is possible. She is very honest and a great listener. Brianne loves to play basketball, shop and serve others. Brianne is very excited to be a part of what God is doing at LSU and looks forward to ministering to people at their place of need.

John Boudreaux

John works with Cru’s ministry to professors, Faculty Commons. He has a passion to see faculty members walk with Christ and realize their potential as leaders on campus. John has been married to Stephanie for 22 years and they have 3 kids – Lawson (13), Libby (16) and Maggie (19 – a student at LSU). As a family, the Boudreauxs love to travel, watch movies and entertain guests in their home.

Carmen Rae Huang

Carmen Rae is a graduate of Ole Miss with a degree in Public Policy Leadership, and this is her 9th year on staff with Cru. She was involved with Cru in college and God radically changed the trajectory of her life through Cru. She knew when she graduated that she wanted to help other students walk with God for a lifetime just like others had come alongside of her. She met her husband Ian at training with Cru and together they served at Ole Miss, in Italy, and Atlanta. Carmen Rae then took a Global Missions role where she spent 4 years training and coaching missionaries being sent all over the world to share the gospel with college students. She continues to coach missionaries and also is starting her first year with students at LSU. She loves reading, traveling and hanging out with her family, and enjoying time with friends. To this day, nothing lights her up more than seeing God transform lives and then getting to be a part of it all.
